Program Title: Active and Connected Learning Experiences- A Baseline For Change
Description: This educational program will help designers and architects have a better understanding of Active and Connected Learning Experiences. As k-12 School Districts, Colleges and Universities embrace and adapt to the modern learning environment, we will look at the baselines and social implications of the change. The content assists architects and designers to communicate effectively with school personnel about learning concepts, learning modalities and the engagement space. An examination of the modern learner will highlight the impact technology has on cognitive learning. Attendees will be challenged to recognize how students learn and hows tudent centered pedagogy has positive and measurable social impacts to better prepare students for life after formal education. Looking at the dynamics of active learning, attendees will see the relationship the environment and active learning techniques have on overall student engagement. This course will also identify helpful concepts that aid in the design of the educational space to achieve positive measurable student outcomes.

As k-12 School Districts, Colleges and Universities embrace and adapt to the modern learning environment, we lead from conversation to ideation, to actionable steps. The content will give architects and designers an additional tool to communicate effectively with school personnel on how to roadmap change. Attendees will be encouraged to think outside the box while prioritizing ways to improve the dynamics of active learning spaces. Participants will design a functional relationship between the environment, activities and human needs. At the end of the charrette, attendees will have listed and prioritized steps to implement change.
