From every perspective, Smith System’s new 100,000 sq-ft warehouse/showroom offers improved functionality for our customers. Take its 3,000 sq-ft showroom, for instance. While equal in size to the previous showroom, this space is consolidated into one large rectangle. This allows several learning environments to be displayed side-by-side, allowing prospects to see and feel the differences, according to Molly Risdall Parnell, Smith System Vice President of Sales. “Our furniture is very interactive,” she says, “and this space enables one-on-one interaction between buyers and our furniture.”
Molly noted that the space provides a very effective venue for presenting Cascade™ Storage units to buyers. “Demonstrating the product in use helps the buyers to understand the concept behind Cascade, and many of our social and cooperative learning products,” she says.
The new space also lends itself to “Lunch and Learn” presentations on GREENGUARD certification and LEED points to Smith System dealers, educators, designers and architects. “I expect this to be such a popular resource for our dealers, that Jon Worthington will be scheduling the showroom and coordinating all that takes place there.”
In addition to the showroom, Molly noted the expansive warehouse space that accompanies it. “At this moment we are filling it up with product for you to order this summer,” she says.
