With furniture dealer and distributor experience, Jon Worthington brings an insider’s perspective to his new role as inside sales and catalog sales manager for Smith System.

“A large part of Jon’s role is supporting our sales team and dealer network. He is skilled at both seeing the big picture and drilling down details, which creates smoother, more efficient experiences for our dealers and customers,” said Molly Risdall Parnell, vice president of sales at Smith System.

As inside sales and catalog sales manager, Jon’s responsibilities are twofold. As catalog sales manager, he works with online and print catalogers to list the most recent and best-selling Smith System solutions, and works on sales forecasting. With inside sales, he supports regional sales managers so they have products and information needed for meeting with dealers and end-users, and is the liaison between dealers, sales managers and the engineering department. As liaison, he fields ­­product questions and custom orders, and works with engineers on drawings and layouts for installations.

Jon’s previous experience includes school furniture dealer School Specialty and furniture distributor Lone Star Furnishings.

In his free time, Jon, his wife, Meredith, and their 2 year-old son, Simon, like to explore nature areas, museums and events near their home in Plano, Texas. He is also enjoys reading – especially John Grisham – and is involved in their church and volunteers.
