He is responsible for getting sample requests and catalog requests out daily. Not only is Manuel super detail oriented and organized, but he&#8217;s also very creative, he&#8217;s always looking for ways to make processes more efficient. Above all he is a great person and we are lucky to have him on the Smith System team.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!--njba-quote-box-inner--><!--njba-quote-box-main-->\r\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w4NEmf4jii8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\r\n<p>For this month&#8217;s edition of our Employee Spotlight series, get to know Manuel Paredes. Discover the most challenging aspect of Manuel&#8217;s job, his favorite hobby, and why he loves working at Smith System.<\/p>\r\n<h2>How long have you worked at Smith System?<\/h2>\r\n<p>I started at Smith System two and a half years ago, I began as a T Molder, then moved up the chain as a T Mold Lead. I also assist the Marketing team in Samples.<\/p>\r\n<h2>What are some of your favorite aspects of your job?<\/h2>\r\n<p>I love the constant hustle of Production. It is a fast-paced environment where I am responsible for many things in my role in order to ensure orders are finished on time. And working with the Marketing team in samples I get to touch every department in the business to fill sample packages.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/smithsystem.com\/smithfiles\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/MicrosoftTeams-image-19-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/smithsystem.com\/smithfiles\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/MicrosoftTeams-image-19-scaled-1024x718.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"718\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<h2>What is the most challenging aspect of your job?<\/h2>\r\n<p>My biggest challenge is navigating different personality types. I have to make sure I am collaborating and supervising in a manner that meshes well with everyone. With marketing samples I also have to be detail oriented and a good organizer.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Why is teamwork important?<\/h2>\r\n<p>Relationships with leads and supervisors is very important. They are always there to help you out, and I am always open to helping others out. For example if someone is new to my department I can teach them how to succeed.<\/p>\r\n<h2>What are some of your favorite music genres?<\/h2>\r\n<p>I am bilingual so I enjoy a wide range of genres from Urbano, Rock, Indie, Pop, and Country.<\/p>\r\n<h2>What do you like to do in your free time?<\/h2>\r\n<p>I love to work with Epoxy Resin. It&#8217;s a side hustle that I really enjoy! I create a ton of things ranging from keychains, and pens, to more complex things like dinner tables.
