Smith System is Now CARB Phase 2 Compliant
In an ongoing effort to become greener in our products and processes, Smith System has worked closely with suppliers to meet the new California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations.
These efforts have succeeded according to Molly Risdall Parnell, Smith System National Sales Manager. “Our backer, laminate and wood now meet the strictest existing standards,” she says, referring to CARB, which was originally enacted to reduce formaldehyde emissions from products. “Our wood now passes CARB Phase 2 ahead of schedule.”
Since all Smith System products are CARB Phase 2, this improvement benefits not only California customers, but all customers. Dealers and reps interested in more information on CARB can visit: http://www.carbrule.org/
Molly also offered two important reminders about Smith System furniture’s contribution to healthy learning environments:
