Josh continues to be an integral member of the Smith System Team. Josh’s knowledge and his initiative continue to make him successful at Smith System. He is always looking for a better way to do things and is willing to come in super early and stay super late to entertain people all over the world where he is putting together showroom tours and educating on Smith System products and applications. When not in showroom tours as “Cowboy Josh”, Josh is helping tackle various projects for the sales and marketing teams. He is always willing to go the extra mile to create training videos and presentations. Josh is the type of person that will stop what he is doing at any point to help or answer any questions. It is an honor to have Josh on the Smith System Team.

How long have you worked at Smith System?

It will be my six-year anniversary on March 30, 2021!

How did you end up working at Smith System?

I was at a point in my career that I wanted to try new things, so I came across a project management role at Smith System and jumped on it! I had an initial interview with Clay Mosley and the rest is history.

Why do you choose to continue to work at Smith System?

Smith System is a great place to work. They always put their employee's best interest first. I enjoy working in a small business environment where everyone knows each other. Smith System has allowed me to grow and utilize my natural talents to serve the company.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

With continual growth and expansion, there are always new challenges and problems to solve. We are a lean company that operates efficiently, meaning we all wear multiple hats. It is challenging, but also a lot of fun!

What's your favorite thing about working here?

My favorite thing about working at Smith System is definitely the people. I enjoy hanging out with my co-workers and also being a part of Virtual meetings where I have the privilege to meet and connect with customers and partners from all over the world.

Now it’s time for some fun questions! If you were stranded on a deserted island – what three items would you bring?

Well, I am a huge Survivor fan so what is the climate? Haha! Okay, so let’s say a warm climate. I would go with a pot for cooking and boiling water. A magnifying glass to start a fire and a machete. My life goal is to be on the show Survivor, so let’s make this happen!

What has been your favorite vacation?

St. John is my favorite vacation spot. I love to be on the beach and also everything that goes with it – hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, ect. I have always loved wildlife and adventure!
